REALTOR® Joyce B. Spooner – South Coast’s Connection to Martha’s Vineyard and the Islands

Joyce Spooner is Olde Dartmouth Sotheby’s local liaison to the islands of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Cuttyhunk, specializing in clients who are either looking for a vacation home on the islands, or relocating from the islands to the south coast. Having lived on the Vineyard for thirty-five years, she is familiar with all aspects of island life, understands the individual character of each island town, and recognizes the particular nature of the island market. A native of Fairhaven, she is also familiar with the different towns on the south coast and is in the unique position of being able to help her clients find the right neighborhood and community for them. She is committed to welcoming new clients into the Sotheby’s family where, not only their needs can be met, but also their dreams can be realized with understanding, friendliness, and professionalism.

With a background as an English major at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Joyce entered the entrepreneurial life of the Vineyard and, like many islanders in such a seasonal community, worked in many different fields, including real estate, advertising, teaching and publishing. She is eager to transfer her diverse talents and experience to the Olde Dartmouth Sotheby’s International arena where she will have an opportunity to educate her clients as well her extensive network of friends and business associates to both the benefits and challenges of the south coast and the islands.
